In addition to being an experienced piano teacher, Benjamin also has extensive experience as a piano technician. At The New School's College of Performing Arts and the Mannes School of Music (both in New York City), Benjamin works as a piano technician--a role that involves tuning and servicing hundreds of Steinway and Sons and Yamaha pianos. Benjamin has also tuned for institutions including Tian Song Musical Arts in Brooklyn, NY and countless private pianists. Unlike some technicians, Benjamin has experience working on many rare and antique pianos, including pneumatic player pianos, one of his specialties.
